This might help. I had the same problem. My work around was I had to connect a cable from the speak out port on the TV to the sound bar (head phones port). After that I had sound. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, no screen prompt! Easiest method is to be sure you connect the RCA plugs into the TV's AUDIO OUT jacks and the other end into the sound bar's SOURCE3-RCA jacks. Then also be sure to push the SOURCE3-RCA button on the sound bar remote control. Turn down the TV speakers all the way to zero (with the TV's remote control), so then only the sound bar's remote will control the sound! Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my case, I didn't get one (maybe it depends on the TV you have). For the sound to be heard, in my Samsung 3DTV, I had to change the sound options, output, and select "external device". Unfortunately for me, every sound goes out of the sound bar and I can't split to hear from both sound bar and TV unless I flip the settings, but I don't want to do that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, there's no screen prompt. It is just plug and play. Which connection are you using? Make sure you have the sound bar set to the input you're using.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not think so, however, I did notice that the RCA jacks needed to plug into the source like the cable box or DVD player to the sound bar. The digital optical cable only seemed to work when going from TV to sound bar.
