Yep
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My installation uses a Polk Audio 10" powered subwoofer. The larger the subwoofer speaker, and it's power rating, the greater the power needed to drive it. The Polk goes to 100W, independent of the soundbar's limitations.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't use anything other than the Soundbar and the bass is great! You do have the option of adding a Bluetooth sub if you feel the need but I don't. Sounds cinema quality here.

But when listening at lower levels, that's not as important. Try both ways at your most comfortable sound level to hear how it sounds. If you're more into jazz or classical music, you want less bass, but if you're into hip hop, R&B, or like the big pounding special effects in your movies, then you want the extra bass. Sometimes when the powered sub isn't matched to your other speakers, the bass can be over powering or drown out the mids (vocals) & the highs. But if you only care about the deep pounding of the bass for dancing, then it's not a problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would prefer the powered subwoofer. To me, it has has more sound and drop to it. If u are into bass, it is great. You just have to make sure that it is adjusted correctly so it doesn't over power your sound system.
