Yes, actually I believe it ONLY supports A2DP profile and nothing else. Your strategy should work, but I wouldn't bother hooking it up this way. Even if you get it to work, most a2dp connections like this (transmitter and receiver units) won't work for audio and video due to latency. Basically, the delay in the wireless connection is going to make it so that the picture is ahead of the sound by half a second or so, which is terrible for watching TV or movies. You should hard-wire to the TV, unless you plan on using the soundbar strictly for music and using the TV as the music player, then audio video sync won't matter.

If it is solid, turn off the device you had previously paired with the soundbar to allow the soundbar to pair with a new device.
