A:AnswerI believe the Insignia rep misunderstood. Your motor is actually a 120V motor if purchased to work in the USA, and this converter will convert from up to 240V to 120V, so you should be fine. Contact Insignia's customer service by phone to make sure.
A:AnswerIt depends on the wattage of the appliance. It is 100-120 volts and automatically adjusts between 25 to 2,000 watts.

A:AnswerHi Nage,
American appliances run on 110 volts, while European appliances are 220 volts. If you see a range of voltages printed on the item or its plug (such as "110–220"), you're OK in Europe. Some older appliances have a voltage switch marked 110 (US) and 220 (Europe) — switch it to 220 as you pack. A:AnswerI just used this converter in Italy, and this converter works in many ways. It has a converter for both Northern and Southern Europe, and it has a converter for the North America, South America, China, Japan, and the Caribbean, from the others. I think this converter covers the whole need of conversion, and if you want to use two plugs at one time, it will be wise to buy two like I did. The one for the N. America etc. says 250V on it.
