The low setting is 0-25W and the high is 25-1875W. Instructions say not to use high setting for electronic circuitry items. The high setting is to be used for 10 minutes or less, for hair dryers, curlers etc. I don't know if you can use the converter long term for stereo equip. Check equip. to see if it will work on more than one current similar to cell phones.
