• Takes your PC power to make device work. iPad does not have significant power.

• make sure your adapter is charged up good before using it, I had no problems at all.

• You might need a special USB adapter for the iPad to run this device, as the iPad's USB port is not designed for devices like this. That port on the iPad have limited functionality as it is just for charging & syncing.
