“Do the micro sd cards have to be a certain class to be read? I've been able to use many micro sd cards with this reader to watch movies on my tv. I recently had to buy a new micro sd card. I tried to use the reader on my tv like I have done many times, but this time it says there is something wrong and it will not show the content of my micro sd card. The only difference that I can think of, aside from the name (Samsung 64g), could be the class of the sd card. Do I have to use a class 4 sd card or should it read a class10?”

The class of the card is irrelevant, the issue lies elsewhere in your case unfortunately.

Unless the dvd player updated like mine had (2010 Samsung BluRay player) it does not support the files simply cause the company wants you to upgrade your player. All my music and pictures are good on the pc. NOT my player anymore. Hope this helps.
