Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it's rated 2 or 3 amps... I was concerned about that too. According to the BB rep, she said 3. Model: NS-DC1U2N SKU: 5689185 is an adapter which features 12W of power and a 2.4-amp output. Looks like the same adapter. Hope this helps..

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The description lists the Watts as 15, USB I usually 5 volt; watts/volts = Amps. That makes this ~3 amp output. I have not had an issue with this charging my Samsung S5. I do not know how much power using a phone for a hot spot pulls but I think this charger would work
