- Answer Insignia devices DID support continues conversations until about 3 weeks ago (around July 20th, 2018), then they all lost it.

QuestionThis model number NS-CSPGASP-B (6" height) is smaller than model number NS-CSPGASP2 (9" height). Is the screen the same size or does the 9" have a larger screen? I currently own the 6" and can barely read the screen from across the room. Thanks

QuestionWhy does my device not display any time or temp I just purchased it today and its linked to my google account and other google devices

- Answer If there's even a slight hiccup in your wifi signal, or if you lose your internet connection for a fraction of a second, the device turns into a complete brick until you manually unplug it and plug it back in. It will display "--:--" forever until you do this. No way to get it to automatically reconnect. No way to reboot it through the home app. Gotta rip out the power cord.

QuestionFollow up question regarding alarm volume. No matter what the volume is set to or what the alarm volume is set to in the app, alarm always goes off at 40. Timer volume will lower based on the settling but the alarm volume will always go off at 40.

- Answer So looking into this further and this appears to be a Google home issue and not the device. This volume issue happens on all Google assistant devices and when you ask to have an alarm on with music playback. https://support.google.com/googlehome/forum/AAAAXWcshA0k2K0jwUoU2E/?hl=en hope this helps anyone else that sees this as an issue.

QuestionI just recently bought this speaker and it sounds really good but I’m fortunately Any now and then it goes to off-line and NET then it reverts back online and he works fine do you know why is doing that? or do I need To exchange it?

- Answer I can get Alexa to do this with no problem. But I cannot get any of my Google home devices to play a radio station. It responds with it could not find that radio station in play music.

QuestionI have the alarm set to go off the same time each morning. It works fine, except that when I use the “stop” command to stop the alarm for that given day, the clock keeps flashing. How do I stop the clock from flashing? Thanks.

- Answer Press the circle (also known as the pause/play button) on top of the device. Alternatively, you can "cancel all alarms" by voice and then reissue them.

QuestionCan you make the speaker play a sound when you activate it. The lights blink but if you are not in viewing distance you don't know if it heard you.

- Answer Yeah absolutely! Go to your Google home app and tap the top left 3 bars. From there, go to devices, and tap the the 3 little dots next to the device name (mine is bedroom speaker). Tap settings and scroll until you see accessibility. Tap accessibility and you'll find the options to play a sound before the start of a request/after you make the request.

QuestionThis looks perfect for me, but is there any way to pull internet audio like TuneIn or iHeartRadio to act as the morning alarm? I've woken up to the sounds of a radio for too many years to switch to a chime. Thanks

- Answer Good news: Radio alarm works with TuneIn (and maybe others) with a more recent Google Home update. Bad news: The wave-to-snooze feature (which works fine with the chime) does NOT work with the radio alarm.

- Answer This device does not playback music directly, it's simply cast music meaning that it is used as a go-between where the internet sends it music and it plays it like a speaker. Therefore, it does not send a Bluetooth signal and play audio to other devices

I'll address your inquiries first of all by explaining that this speaker does have cast options so you can definitely cast to it from your mobile devices. Regarding your question about the display, we are working to enable voice control for display brightness; this will be avaiable on our next software update. We are also working with Google to turn on day/night control so that night time off will be automatic if you choose this option. I hope this helps you to get the most out of your new speaker. QuestionRecently my Insignia Smart Speaker has been continuously displaying the outdoor temperature. It is not stuck and changes as the temperature changes. I've rebooted the device but the temperature is still showing. Does anyone know why this is happening?

- Answer My Insignia Smart Voice Speaker recently started doing this as well. I assume this is due to Insignia releasing a firmware update (Version 318) for the device. Although I'm sure for some people it would be nice to have the option to toggle this feature, I've personally been wishing and hoping for this feature since I originally purchased mine and am extremely pleased to see this addition.

- Answer Yes. I have 5 Insignia Smart speakers, 1 portable Insignia Smart Speaker, a Google mini, and a Google Hub. All broadcast out and receive broadcasts. Running firmware 314 and cast firmware 1.32.129357 on all Insignia units, Google mini: firmware 141215, cast firmware 1.36.141215. Google hub: firmware 141422, cast firmware 1.36.141422. There were a couple of weeks when the broadcast feature was not working, but all is good now (1/7/19) (revised for correct year- opps). Routines are also working. Great sound, great functions plus a clock and USB charger in the back.

- Answer I read in another post the speaker showed the time until a recent Google release/update. Could be the Google SW or perhaps the Insignia firmware. Either way, would like this to be fixed! Likely pretty easy fix. "IF the rightt speaker in a valid pair, show the time instead of set"

- Answer I would expect a huge supply of open box items available in store here shortly. They were severely discounted recently, assuming because they are non-functional like mine. After looking at forums/etc... tons of folks are having problems with these.

QuestionMine will never update firmware or display LOAD no matter how many times I reset or wait for it to occur automatically. It's always version 105 and buggy. Anything to try before returning?

- Answer I have exchanged some new ones several times in hopes of getting one that will update the firmware and work. No success. It is supposed to update overnight. Many users have had this problem, and given up, returning the speaker. I have two that work fine, and four I subsequently bought would not update, nor will they function in my home.

- Answer I got a version 105 unit and was never able to get it to update. I spent an hour on the phone with a tech support supervisor, and we tried a bunch of factory resets, and it never updated. It's going back today.

QuestionI bought three of these (before they were on sale). Two work just fine. The third will not set an alarm, it always says, "there was a glitch and to try again in a minute", If I ask it to set a timer it will but not an alarm. Factory reset not working

- Answer Change the language in the Google Home app to English (Canadian). It will fix it and the alarms will work as expected. I had the same issue and found reviews and questions from several others. This seems to be the only working fix posted by others.
