Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't see the example of your wall switch in your post so hard to say for sure. However this device requires the wall switch to NOT have a learn button on it and it says requires sensors along the bottom of the door to prevent closing when it is obstructed (however I am not sure that is actually required based on how this is wired). This device is essentially like adding a 2nd wall switch, that just happens to also have wifi and Apple HomeKit built into it. I do not believe the type of opener will matter as long as it meets the 2 previous requirements. I have had mine for about a month now and overall I am pleased with it, but it does occasionally get confused on the door position,
