For Apple HomeKit, you must have a home hub connected to WiFi and powered on at home to do any control remotely. This can be Apple TV, iPad, or Apple HomePod
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.as others have mentioned, you can do this if you have a homekit hub on the same wifi as the opener, and you have set up the hub with cloud keychain. There are some nuances in setup that I'm still working through - I can control it remotely with my iphone, but my wife's doesn't work. I think she may have to accept an invitation on her iphone first. bruce
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need a hub for Apple HomeKit to access an accessory when you're not on your home wifi with your iPhone. An Apple TV or an ipad can be used as a hub for Apple HomeKit. Pretty sure the Apple TV needs to be a newer version
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can't connect to the unit if you don't have Homekit app on your phone (you likely do) and an apple hub or apple TV to act as the go-between.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Theoretically you should be able to via Apple's HomeKit app, but many reviewers are reporting "No Response" errors so your mileage may vary.
