- Answer I suggest you replace the batteries and then reset the system and try to reconnect the controller afterwards when I connected mine I had no issues

QuestionThis controller does not work while plugged into the Player 1 port of my NES Classic. The red light does not come on either. However, it works fine with Player 2. The controller that came with the system works fine in Player 1.

QuestionHow is the D-pad reaction? I have the controllers from the new mini-system and the D-pad does not work well on games like Pacman and Gradious, can not get the buggers to respond to the directions I need for turns fast enough.

- Answer No, it will not work with the original SNES. The controller connector is different.
