This processor is only for the 1151 z300 series. It is incompatible with the z200 series.

Please try again later.Hi APRATT30, while your MSI Z270-A Pro motherboard has the correct LGA 1151 socket it uses an older 200 series chipset which is only compatible with 6th and 7th generation core sereis processors. You will need a motherboard with not only the LGA1151 socket but a 300 series chipset to work with the Intel Core i9-9900K processor. With the correct motherboard you will not have any bottleneck issues using the the Intel Core i9-9900K processor and the RXT 2080ti graphics card. To also help your computer be more responsive from bootup to quicker launching of your favorite programs and games I suggest looking into adding Intel Optane Memory.
