CPU utilization is well optimized, as this CPU can stream, game, and stay under 75%. In fact, I left a game open once, and had 2 games running simulataneously. Still worked fine; the only reason I knew I had 2 games open was not because of a performance hit, but instead just seeing the other game open. I run this with a Noctua NH-D15 air cooler, as I'm not a big fan of water cooling. Temps are well in line w/ this cooler. If you go w/ this cooler, make sure to get Low Profile RAM. I used 32GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX; non-LP RAM WILL NOT fit! Purchased this RAM from BBY as well!

This thing is a monster! Currently overclocked to 5.2 with low 23c idle temps. While gaming it stays below 60c. I run warzone maxed out while having 6-9 tabs of chrome open to include spotify playing music. In the background ill have discord for communications. I wont have to upgrade this for years. I highly recommend to gamers or power users.

After searching for a while benchmarks and YouTube videos, I went from i5 9600k to i9 9900k . Just running stock clocks .. amazing . Some games used to give me some kind of throttle but with this beast . Everything is a breeze. I know some people is going to be , oh way you didn’t go with AMD . I know the new gen from Rayzen are amazing , but is way to expensive to do that jump . I just stick with the big guns from intel , for a couple years .

Intel - Core i9-9900K I have to say its Fast and runs cold in my system. I would buy again

I upgraded my i7-9700k to the i9-9900k got it on sale for 100 off plus used my best buy points for 339,good upgrade for pc games love it both i7 and i9 are great cpu,i9 9900k faster at 5.0hz to 5.1hz is what run mine at but do get a great cooler to,like the kracken x73 keeps it 125°F and under the i9 9900k is a great upgrade for 9th gen cpu gaming.thats if your not upgrading to 10th gen i9 then you need up grade your mother board cause diffrent spec 9th gen 1151 10th gen 1200 pin type.this is a fast cpu love it over my i7.

Bought this for a new rig I was building works great with the asus Maximus XI code. I would recommended to anyone that wants top of the notch products I know there’s better ones out there, but this is one of the best.

doesn’t even need over clocking but honestly i wanted this CPU for when i needed to ramp a piece of tech up to blistering 5.0 gHz. AMD doesn’t really do it for me....

I love this cpu, but the packaging was totally crushed and broken when I received it. I would absolutely recommend this cpu to anyone with the funds, but definitely do not have it shipped.

BestBuy had a good deal on the price when i got it. Less than Amazon. It's going in my next gaming pc build and I'm excited to get it running!

I've been using this processor for a month now and I must say, this is a beast of a processor. Despite it being two generations old as of today(11th gen being latest), this processor runs anything I throw at it without breaking a sweat. Pros: - runs cool - easy to overclock - smooths out frame pacing with it's 8 core 16 threads - runs any game without any hiccups - excellent for high FPS gaming, currently using a 1440p/144hz Cons: - none Managed to get this on sale for less than $320. Recommend this processor even in 2021. Haven't found a single game that it has struggled with yet and I play a ton of games. Runs everything I throw at it smoothly and has actually improved my frame pacing and no longer experience studdering. Coming from a 9600K. Very happy with purchase and recommend it especially if you can get it on sale. You won't be disappointed and cheapest upgrade if you aren't willing to purchase a new motherboard for newer processors.

Out of the box this CPU already runs fast at stock frequencies with an all core clock of 4.7GHz. This particular 9900K chip runs all cores at 5GHz non AVX at 1.235V on a Gigabyte Aorus Master motherboard while maintaining a maximum package temperature around 78C with a Corsair H150i Pro 360mm AIO under a Prime 95 stress test. Can reach a maximum stable all core OC of 5.2GHz at 1.345V while the maximum temperature is around 94C with AIDA64 stress test (CPU, FPU, cache, memory) checked.

Is it hot? Yes, the I9 and a girlfriend are hot. Does it make you poor? Yes, the I9 and a girlfriend will make me broke. Compatibility? I9 is LGA1151 compatible but a girlfriend is dependent on horoscope. Over clock? I can over clock the i9 but not a girlfriend. Resale value? I9 is good for resale value. Releasing a girlfriend is illegal to sell. Performance? I9 is excellent but a girlfriend can only be tested after marriage. 9/10 would recommend an i9 3/10 would recommend a girlfriend

Upgraded from an i5-8600k to this i9-9900k this year, was able to reuse my old Z370 motherboard. This CPU is the end of the line/peak of the 300-series board supported CPUs and depending on the price you paid its a great value (2020 discounted prices vs. launch). Runs HOT, be prepared to have a strong CPU cooler, especially when overclocked. Watch the VRMs on your motherboard if they weren't built for this so they don't overheat. 8C/16T is the new midpoint gaming CPU with games like Cyberpunk and others pushing CPUs to the max. Needed all those extra threads to support running multiple VMs as well with Covid and remote work.

Great upgrade from a i7 7700 overclock was super simple to get to 5Ghz and with my aio thermals are perfect. Streaming on a single pc and video editing with 32 gigs of ram is perfect for now.

This is the most powerful CPU on the market and it performs amazingly! It's a bit pricey but if you want the best it's well worth the price. Make sure you buy a beefy cooler though!

This cpu is a beast. I switched from i7 9700k to this due to lack of hyperthreading. the 9700k will stutter in some games but the 9900k will give you smoother experience. it runs hot so you better have a good cooling to pair with this. NO regrets spending money on this beast.

I upgraded to this from a i5-8400K and it is amazing. This is hands down the best process on the market for gaming right now. I have not found a single game that comes close to using more than 20% processing power for this beast. I play all my games in 4K at 144hrz with a 2080TI - I feel like a god when I game. The jump from a i5 to this is significant and noticeable. This is worth every penny.
