You are suggesting using a manually-paddled boat to make a trans-Atlantic voyage. Even with a small motor attached, you would not travel quickly and you would have little protection from the elements. Nor would you have much control should a storm occur or a convenient method for connecting multiple boats together. This is clearly intended for shorter journeys.
