“Are there any other charges besides the initial software? As in taxes or what not”

• Of course! They change tax laws every year! :-) the good thing about this product is that they will actually tell you as you step through what has changed if you used the same item last year and imported to this year's. If you're new to TurboTax, You can also look up things that you are unsure of with their excellent help system.
