“this is my first laptop. when it boots or put a cd/dvd the drive makes a funny noise! is that normal? i thought itd b silent!!!”

• Every computer makes some internal noise when starting up. This is due to the hard drive spinning up. Similarly, there is noise from the optical drive as the disk is read. Unless the noise is excessive, it is normal behavior.
