It works with my new 15" macbook pro. The only thing I was not clear on at the time is that the usb-c port you can use on the dock is not the same as on the macbook pro, as it does not support Thunderbolt. I got this dock in order to connect my older 27" monitors (Thunderbolt 2 and a HP displayport). I have a usb-c to Thunderbolt adapter that would connect the Thunderbolt display, but I need the dock to get a port for the displayport monitor. I first tried to use the usb-c to Thunderbolt adapter off the usb-c port on the dock, but got a message it was not supported. So now I use two of my usb-c ports on the macbook pro, one for the dock and the other for the Thunderbolt 2 adapter.
