• I have had this issue with a number of stiffer rubber mounts. My solution is to clean the surfaces involved with isopropyl alcohol and use liquid rubber cement lightly applied to the rubber. Can get rubber cement at a office supply store for a few bucks. Press the unit on the surface and hold for a few seconds and then pressing firmly, activate the suction lever.

• I hope your doggie is ok! but if you meant the iOttie there may be an invisible film on your windshield you need to thoroughly clean and it should stick just fine. I had the same issue with another product and that cured it.

• you have to wet the suction cup if is hot outside or inside your car

• You mont it on the dash with the dash mont and that will not happen.
