Works with a case. However, I would strongly recommend using a MagSafe case WITH magnets in the case. Much stronger hold. I wouldn’t trust this with an iPhone 14 Pro Max in a case without magnets.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If it is a magsafe case it will attach easily. If you have a magsafe phone but your case is not magsafe you'll have to take it out of the case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sadly, it doesn't really work that well with an iPhone14Pro in an OtterBox Defender Series Pro XT case. The camera surround on the case interferes with it snapping into place. You can mess with it a bit to get it there, but the hold is not very strong and that wastes time. The standard Apple MagSafe Charger puck I use in my home office has a stronger grip.
