Does it work around area rugs? null

Yes it works. Its sensor advice the robot of the rugs and Braava 380t just clean around it.

I have a large area rug in my living room. It hasn't had any problems working around it. The "collision" sensors are attached to the same piece that has the mop pad on it, thus it sits really low to the ground and will be set off by something as low-profile as a rug. Have our dog bowls sitting on a low-profile rubber mat that has a 1/4" lip around the edge. My Braava 380t has no problem working around this also. I've been using swiffer wet pads with mine, and have loved it so far.
