- Answer Yes. This model does not need to operate by using a prior map of your floor, but insteadmaps it out each time, so you can drop it in a room and it figures out how to clean it.

Questionhow well does it work on thick carpet ? i have tile and hard wood floor but have a pretty thick area rug i was wondering if that will be a problem

- Answer No it worked well on carpet & tile floors my mom has carpet & a throw rug under her table. Rug had a hump & it got caught on the hump picked really well on both. Could see the marks on the carpet when it made its passes. Goes over all areas several times

- Answer It doesn't do the best picking up dog hair. We returned it because it did a poor job. This is a more basic model.

- Answer The Roomba 614 is an unconnected robot, so doesn't use WiFi. All connected iRobot products are compatible with both Alexa and Google Home. If you want connectivity, the next level up - the Roomba 675 - will provide that.
