i have both hardwood floors and rugs...no problem whatsoever. i also use it on my kitchen tile floors. it easily transitions between all 3 surfaces and does a great job on all 3.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had any problems with the fringe on my rugs. I have only had a problem with long draperies and phone chargers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on the rug. It runs right over the finer fringe pretty easily. It will go over the thicker fringe on the less expensive (but still handmade) rugs pretty easily. But sometimes it pulls them out. It never gets stuck on them - it is more a matter of whether or not it will pull the fringe off of the rug.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We do not have any rugs with fringe on it. We have a lot of throw rugs on our carpet and on our tile floors. The Roomba has no problem with them, and some are heavy shag rugs. However, the manual/instruction book does say if there is loose yarn or electrical cords on the floor the roomba will stop if it starts to get caught, and try to back out. The corner brushes that spins around looks like it would get caught in long tassel/fringed rugs unless the fringe is short. The Roomba is very good about backing out of tricky situations, but might keep bumping it trying to go over the level of the rug. Sometimes I pick up the rugs for a closer clean for those rugs in front of couch or recliners. Only once has it stopped and made that little computer noise to let you know there is a problem, or ask you to move Roomba to a new location. That was on a bath rug that got flipped up. I love her!!!
