  • QuestionI have curtains that hang to the floor. Are my curtains safe from Roomba?

    Asked by EVA.

    • Answer It depends on how far down the curtains hang to the floor. If they're just touching the floor, it really shouldn't be a problem. It if droops on the floor, then you run the risk of it being caught under the robot. You would want to pick them up and use a chip clip or clothespin to get them off the floor temporarily. It's just like having cords or cables or pet toys on the floor. I hope this helps.

  • QuestionWhat's the dimension from the back of the dock to the front of the vacuum when docked?

    Asked by Metalliknight.

    • Answer The Robot dimensions are 13.7 in (347 mm) x 3.6 in (92 mm) , and the Home Base will add up to 3" width when placed against a flat surface. The base will require 1.5 ft. of space on both sides for proper docking behavior.

  • QuestionBetween rooms my (laminate) wood floors have raised trim. Will the roomba go over the edges without damaging them? Or would the trim keep the roomba from crossing over? The trim is about 1/4-1/2” higher than the rest of the floor.

    Asked by ElleWoods52.

    • Answer The maximum height of a threshold that all Roomba models can transition over, when performing a cleaning cycle, is ⅝ in (1.6 cm). Trim that is 1/4-1/2" will be within Roomba's ability to navigate.

  • QuestionWill it dock itself?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Most of the time it will dock itself. Sometimes if it gets stuck it will shut down where it is. And occasionally it will run out of energy before it finds its dock. We have alot of area, and the docking stations are in a bedroom maybe out of its sensing range. It is worth it even if you have to occasionally put it up.

  • QuestionWe have 3 floors and 2600 square feet. Is this model a good fit for us?

    Asked by Jessica.

    • Answer I have wood floors and not a lot of carpet so it does my floors fairly quickly and all on one level. I think it may require an extra charge someplace along the way for your three floors. That’s where you can do that through the app. I don’t think you can schedule it on it’s own to accommodate your needs I am amazed and somewhat embarrassed by how much it picked up after a few cleanings and then again after a few more. I scheduled it to clean once a day every day.

  • QuestionDoes this use bags or is it bagless. Is it complicated to empty & clean? Thank you in advance....

    Asked by Heidi.

    • Answer Hi Heidi- There's no bag, just a bin to store what your Roomba picks up as it cleans. It's very simple to empty: you press a button on the side of your robot to pop out the bin, tap the debris into your trash and pop the bin back in.

  • QuestionHow do clean brushes like get the hair out.

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer The 675 has 2 brushes: 1 bristle and 1 rubber extractor. For the bristle brush, simply pop it out and pull off any hair. On the rubber extractor, hair will simply slide off. If hair is a significant challenge in your household you could consider stepping up to the Roomba e5, which has two rubber extractors.

  • QuestionHow do I connect Echo Dot to the Roomba 675?

    Asked by SUZY.

    • Answer It's very easy link the accounts and thats it. took me 10 seconds To control your Roomba with the Echo, you’ll need to enable the Roomba Alexa skill Next, you’ll be prompted to log into your Roomba account. Enter your credentials and click “Log in.” Once the skill is enabled you can use the following commands: “Alexa, ask Roomba to start/stop cleaning.” This will begin or end a cleaning job whenever you want. If you stop a cleaning job, Alexa will ask if you want to send your Roomba back to its station. “Alexa, ask Roomba to go home.” This will send your Roomba back to its home station to charge. “Alexa, ask Roomba what it’s doing.” With this, Alexa will let you know what the Roomba is up to, whether it’s cleaning, waiting, or charging. “Alexa, ask Roomba where it is.” This command will make your Roomba emit a tone so you can find it if it’s stuck under furniture or lost in another room.

  • QuestionWill it put marks on my baseboards?

    Asked by scottcornelius.

    • Answer It will not. Roomba has a soft touch bumper and will slow as it approaches any object. It's very gentle - you can find many, many videos of Roomba gentling bumping into and navigating around babies and small pets if that helps!

  • QuestionDoes this unit require wifi?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer None of the Roombas require WiFi to operate: you can simply press "Clean" on the robot to get started. If you want to schedule the Roomba 675 or get performance feedback, you will need WiFi and the free app. If you know you don't want any WiFi options, you could consider the Roomba 614, which is unconnected.

  • QuestionI have dense pad and 1/2 inch plush carpet. Would this model pick up lint, etc.?

    Asked by Frances.

    • Answer Roombas operate well on nearly all thickness levels of carpet. However, if you feel your carpets will need a very deep clean, you may want to consider the Roomba 960 (5x suction of 600-series) or the Roomba i7 (10x suction).
