• You must pair it with Bluetooth it will show up as a device called music stream.

• There is no light or other indicator to let you know the unit has power. I'd use a voltage meter to ensure that you are getting power from your supply wire. You must have both the hot lead and the ground wire connected before the unit will transmit a Bluetooth signal.
