- Answer The opening is not 2.75. This is with the clamp open all the way. I actually have a thicker desk and am opening you have a thicker clamp or know of an alternative that can still fit the mount.

QuestionI was able to set up the monitor mount, and the tension on the arm is fine so it will stay up. But my screen will not stay up. It faces downward, and I tightened the tension as much as I could and it still falls
