Yes, the JVCU435 is compatible with Macs. The lens sizing of the web camera does not change, it is simply the zoom in and out that changes.

Rather the sensor concentrates on one area of the available field and resolves that section into a clear image. The panning of the camera is not a mechanical function. The effect is achieved again by focusing the image resolution on a different area of the received data. The compatibility of the camera with apple products is unknow to me as I do not have those items.
