I'm sorry, this mini dock does not support switching between devices. It will function with only the device that is connected to the host cable. It is compatible with Windows and MacOS and requires a driver for full functionality, which can be downloaded at j5create.com. I believe you are looking for a KVM type device that will share a single monitor with 2 systems.
