A:Answer The USB Type-C to Mini DisplayPort Adapter generally allows you to connect USB Type-C (Available DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB Type-C) or Thunderbolt 3/4 devices to monitors or displays with Mini DisplayPort inputs. However, it may not support older Apple Cinema Displays that use Mini DisplayPort. Apple's Thunderbolt Displays and older Mini DisplayPort Displays have different technology. If your Apple Cinema Display is a Mini DisplayPort display (pre-Thunderbolt), it may not be directly compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4 connections, which your 2020 M1 Mac Mini has. Our device may work for your setup, however, we cannot guarantee functionality. At this time, I have forwarded this information to our project team. I will have an update, if our device works with your specific units and I will be posting here. Thank you.
