• sound quality is good as long as your expectations are reasonable for a compact speaker. This won't fill a backyard with music for a big barbecue, but will work fine for a dinner outside on the deck with friends.

• Sound quality is pretty good for such small speaker, but for indoor use only. Loudness not high enough for outdoors. Try Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 2, excellent sound, good for outdoors

• I don't think it would be good for outdoors. Maybe at the beach or somewhere you were in close proximity. It has good sound quality but not real loud?
