Technically, no. They’re not noise-canceling which is actively balancing out background noise. BUT they do a good job at blocking outside noise from coming in. I also workout at a gym that has some really obnoxious members at times and plays really bad music. It comes with medium and small silicone tips as well as small, med, and large anchors. The tips fit very well in your ears, and the anchors keep them there. I would say they block out a good 80% to 90% of sound. And if you play your music loud normally (like I do) you’ll have to struggle to hear or notice any other noise around you. I’d also invest in some replacement tips because I found once you start switching out anchors for fit etc the tips can pop off really easily and get lost.

No where in Jaybirds description does it say noise cancellation. For more sealed noise isolation make sure to use the foam earbud tips instead of the silicone ones.
