    I love these

I was a bit unsure about these at first because I've never had any real luck with earbuds staying in my ears while working out. My ears are small and even the smallest tips never work for me. I was pleasantly surprised with the Jaybirds. Not only do they sound great, but they stayed in during my whole workout. I use the foam tips and the wings. They fit great and are very comfortable, and the foam tip really helps to block the outside noise. They do not advertise as noise canceling but they do a pretty good job of it. My only complaint is the battery. It advertises at 8 hours which is not really true. It's really a four hour battery with an adapter than can get you another 4 hours. It weird wearing them with the adapter attached because one side becomes a bit heavier. It wasn't a deal breaker for me, but I think they should rethink that in the next model.

    Older is Better

The older versions of these work so much better. Jaybird tried to hard to reinvent the wheel with these newer ones. There's a charging pack that attaches to the earbud loop; which means if you lose that you're screwed. Also it means you have less of a charge available on the earbuds themselves. I really don't want to write an entire negative article, but when I dropped $150 on these and the BB protection plan, I felt like I should be reliving the same experience or better than the last pair of Jaybirds I bought. Since then, I've purchased a $10 pair of Poms. The sound quality on the Poms is less than that of the Jaybirds, but the fit, ruggedness, and utility are far superior. I can live w/o surround sound in the gym.

Not enough bass. Charger bad concept

Reading reviews, I thought the sound quality would be much better. Bass sounds lifeless. Far from a “rich sound” I saw in another review. The little charger thing you have to clip to the unit to charge is a bad idea. I can see people easily misplacing it. Wish you could just plug directly into it, but that would mean the size of the power on and volume unit would need to be thicker. Still, the space saving to me is a design flaw. Doesn’t come with a wall plug; just a short usb cable. On the Pro side: The storage pouch is nice. As long as you keep the charger plug thingy in it? You should be ok. The headphones are light and you can’t feel them on... until they start to hurt your ears. I fixed the discomfort by changing the ear things from what the come with to the smaller size. Decent unit for the $49.99 sale price.

The jaybird freedoms are a very good pair of earphones. They fit comfortably in the ear and they are light weight. They are sweatproof and last 8 hours. I do like the ear fins as they do make a better fit. The control dongle is a bit on the heavy side but with the ear fins and shirt clip it prevents it from falling to one side. The carry pouch is very convenient. The only negative thing I would have to say about them is the way you charge them. It comes with a little battery pack that you put on the back of the earphones and plug into a micro USB cable into the wall plug. You have to be careful as not to lose them. For you can't charge them without it. Overall a good set of earphones to use on the daily basis. Also you can change the way your music sounds with the jaybird app. It has different presets or you can customize it yourself.

    Nice Headphones

Great headphones. Good sound. Battery lasts up to 8 hours. The only things I'm not really fond of is the earpiece attachments and the slightly oversized battery attachment. I thought the earpiece attachments were a bit on the flimsy side. Once I put them in, the oversized battery attachment pulled the one side out of my ear. I recommend the headphones but I think the attachments for the speakers should be the design of the ones that come with the JBL headphones. My wife had an extra pair so I use them instead of the ones that are included. For me they work like a charm and even reduces background to a more comfortable level.

I use these while working (landscaping in FL heat= alot of prolonged sweating). Using the sport tips and fins they never fall out or get snagged on anything. The sound quality is also great. The mysound app is simple and a great addition. I have only had to use the charging clip a few times and while it does add a bit more weight its barely noticeable that being said battery life is pretty decent and quick to fully charge. These are very well thought out. Im sure they can somehow be better but after about a month of almost daily use i cant find any flaws. Build quality and the included accesories are also very nice. Premium product right down to the packaging.

Great sound and the ability to CUSTOMIZE the sound is an excellent feature! The charging unit is kinda weird and probably useful to some but all I see is just another small, proprietary peace that's easily lost! Not sure how to describe it but I'd suggest looking it up before you buy! Definitely secure in the ear once you figure out how they fit.. pretty comfortable but the large control node is heavy and pulls the headphones to one side if they are just hanging around your neck. Comes with a shirt clamp but that's trash!! I'm gonna try to return it to Best Buy.. wish me luck!

Running or jogging they stay in and I have weird ear canals. Left ear lager fin with medium silicon tip, right ear lager fin with small foam tip, tight to my head with one crimp, and with the charger battery; they stay in. Try them for your self if you want to go wireless.

The headphones are light and comfortable with great sound but the battery does not last as long after the first few charges and if the extra battery/charging port is lost or breaks u will no longer be able to use them and very hard to find a replacement charging battery!

Battery life never made it to the 8 hrs it claims up to for me. The manual shows sound pressure vs charge but how is one to know what pressure they are at?? So within the first 20 min it went from 98% to 76%. After that it was about an hour to 50%. Mind you i do like my music loud So I can see I'll never get the full 8 hours. But this would have been good info to have online in the descriptions to help aid in my purchase decisions. So here it is in my review to help others. And as for as loud as it goes, im use to louder with wired headphones. But the app you download with the product is great in evening out the sound and making it a bit louder. Range cut out within 30ft- 40ft. Not sure if that's good or bad for a Bluetooth headphone. There is no specifications online or in manual for that and this being my first pair of Bluetooth headphones I am not sure what other similar products are capable of. But overall id say its a good buy for the sale price of $50. Oh and the reviews about the volume bar being heavy any weighing it down. Complete b.s lol. Unless their ear holes are the size of quarters I don't see how they are falling out with the buds and the wings to hold them in. I shook my head and jumped around just to test it out. Perfect fit not u uncomfortable at all.

Only had these for 5 months and one of the eat pieces broke. I am careful with them. Shoved the headphones in my pocket in their case with my keys and when I remove the headphones they were broken. It took me years to break another pair from a different manufacturer and they still technically work. I treated those much worse than these headphones. On top of that they did not stay in your ears due to the weight. Will never buy a jaybird product again as their warranty is terrible.

These earbuds sound excellent. More bass than I’ve heard on a pair. The companion app is also excellent allowing you to save and create preset EQ’s as well as try other users’ public sound settings. Also, the clip it locks into to charge can also double as a back-up battery. Great idea. The battery life is pretty good as well without the backup. I can usually get 4 1.25hr workouts in before they need to recharge (that’s 5 hours for people bad at the maths) The control module/battery on the headset, however, is a problem. There are 3 design issues/problems that I’ve discovered in my first week, and they’re all equally flawed. 1- the control module/battery placement. It’s placed mainly on the right side. It’s heavy enough to pull on the right ear and knock you continuously in the neck if you’re doing an active workout. It’s fine for weight training and most stationary excercises, but if you’re running, jumping or doing any other rigorous movement it gets annoying. And that leads to another problem... 2- The anchors work great, but the plastic is hard. And with the control module/battery pulling on your right ear when you’re bouncing around it starts to rub the inside of your ear to some nearly intolerable pain. Again, it’s only if you’d be running or jumping. The anchors sitting in your ears without being tugged by the battery is fine. It doesn’t hurt. I did find going down a size on the anchor helped (smallest even though I need a medium for a good fit). Also clipping the wire down using the collar clip (that comes with it) closer to the right of my neck to keep the battery down as much as possible helped. But it still manages to loosen back out and bounce if you’re continuously moving. 3- The silicone ear tips fall out. Seriously. They will just pop off. After a couple uses one was missing. I had left it on the passenger seat of my car and it was gone. And I had no passengers. I had to use the smaller ones while waiting for some replacement tips. When I replaced them and pushed the tips as far as I could on the buds (really, how far and hard do you need to push to install tips? I’ve owned several buds and replaced tips before, okay? I’m kind of a pro at it by now) another had fallen off. Just popped right off on its own sitting on my nightstand minutes after putting new ones on. The tip size is important because getting a good fit in your ear canal really lets you hear the full size from the buds. If the ear tips are small, you won’t hear any bass, and it’ll sound tinny. I got these for a great Black Friday deal. So, for the price versus Bose I’m more than happy with my purchase. I’m just learning to manipulate the design issues to work better for me.

Bought these on black friday for an awesome price $100 off. Great customizable sound with the free jaybird app. Downloading the app for your Android or iOS is a must to really take advantage of all the nice features these jaybird offer like equalization, hear others playlist, and other sound preferences. The only downside is the first pair I bought the Bluetooth function stopped working, so I went back to best buy to exchange them within 2 weeks for a no hassle exchange. Very nice ear buds with great customizable sound at a more than fair price buy them before they sell out
