If you tv is bluetooth enabled I don't see what would prevent it from pairing. As far as defeating the external sound from you tv you would have to consult you manual.

Yes it's possible if the TV allow to pair Bluetooth headphones.

I dont know about these, but I do know there are headsets out there which work that way. I would ask a crew member..they were very helpful in store.

Never tried that but I guess if its paired to TV then only that person would hear not others.

I don’t believe so. The TV would have to have Bluetooth capability. I have a brand new Sony high end led tv and mine does not have Bluetooth. But they are the most discreet longest lasting, lightest earphones I have ever bought. As far as quality they are very very high. I forget I have them on me all the time. I carry them everywhere I go. Hope this helps.
