• It depends on what you mean by "well". It will produce the same amount of sound in either orientation. However, the orientation of the sound is fixed to the sound bar. (sounds that you hear from the left side of the room come out of the left end of the soundbar and sounds from the right come out of the left end of the soundbar). This means that the sound that you hear will only sound like it comes from above or below the system instead of left or right. .
