“Using the optical cable can I plug this directly into my cable box and have it work for my Samsung tv? I am trying not to take the tv off the wall to connect”

• Yes it'll work with the optical cable coming out of the cable box. But the soundbar won't work with say a DVD player or anything else you have hooked up to the TV since the audio source is only coming from the cable box.

• You will need to connect the video for the cable box to the TV then the Audio from the cablebox to the Soundbar.
