- Answer No there is not, it is only HDMI or Optical for audio inputs. You might check Polk models....I have an older one that does have the 3.5 audio input.

Questioncan I make the background noise quieter and the speaking voices louder?

- Answer Have you tried the two different sound modes ? You might find that the 'standard' mode brings the voices out to your preferred level. By default, the SB operates in "Enhanced Mode", but you can change it ....To do this, hold the 'mute' button on the remote for a few seconds until the display reads "Toggle". Now press "+" on the remote and that will switch into standard mode, indicated by the "Enhanced Mode OFF" message. This is detailed in the user manual (online only, not included in the box) at JBL.com.

- Answer Hi there, our JBL BAR 2.1 soundbar, along with the other soundbars from this series, are standalone systems. There is no option to add more speakers to the system. If you're looking for rear speakers to go with the soundbar, you may be interested in our JBL BAR 5.1, that comes with detachable wireless speakers. - Answer Take your Roku, connect its HDMI 'out' to the HDMI 'in' on the SB, then HDMI "out" from the SB to the HDMI (ARC) "in" on your TV. Not only do you get an upgraded sound but you can also use your existing remote to control the volume.

- Answer Our JBL Bar 2.1 Deep Bass doesn't have a microphone input for an external microphone to be connected to. You might want to check our JBL PartyBox Series of speakers which have this feature.
