Lyle. No you cannot. The right ear piece is the only ear piece that actually pairs to your device. The left ear piece is wirelessly tethered to the right ear piece. So you can choose not to use the left side and leave it off in the charging case and only use the the right.

Please try again later.Hey Lyle, our JBL Free headphones are designed to be connected to a source as a pair so it won't be possible to use one earbud on one source only but if you'd like to pair the headphones to a different device, press and hold the right ear piece for 5 seconds as it alternates between blue and white LED lights while your source is in pairing mode.
