A:Answer This is not a receiver as there is no radio incorporated. Its an integrated amplifier. It is capable of doing 5.1 surround sound though it can be set up as stereo. I have it set up as a 3.1 amplifier, using the front left and right stereo channels plus the center channel and powered subwoofer. I have it in an oversized garage with 12 foot ceiling, driving some old Paradigm Reference speakers and sub and it has ample power to fill that room with great sound. As to the turntable, you can hook it up as well. If your turntable doesn't have an incorporated preamp, you'll need to get a turntable preamp as well. That's true with most amps/receivers today I'm aware of. Setup is easy.
