Noise cancelling CAN be turned off, sadly I called JBL support to see if there was ambient mode for phone calls but it doesn't have ambient for phone calls, also, we all know noise Cancelling will not be like the XM4s but trust me, the XM4s gave me a headache and Tinnitus, this NC is gentle and it blocks more high pitch sounds than the XM4s for some reason.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1. There are multiple setting for noise canceling. Full noise cancel, ambient aware. Talk through, and passive canceling. 2. I down own an iPhone couldn't tell you but you should always be able to tinker with the eq settings and it will sound amazing 3. I personally have no complaints the bass it strong enough where I don't feel like my head is just vibrating and it's definitely far far far from being muddled or held back.
