“My BRAVEN was very expensive (almost $400) and it distorts when pushed to 3/4 and beyond. This occurs with punch, rolling bass, and basically all good songs the Kitten are down with. Does this unit have treble bass? Which would you recommend? Thanks.”

Connecting this speaker with a number of devices (phone, tablet, desktop) through Bluetooth, I've been able to bring the volume to the max without distortion. Everything sounds clear enough that I've removed my bigger stereo from my room and only use this.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, but easily overcome. I am surprised how many people rely on only the speaker for getting the best sound from a given piece of music. Different genres and tastes require varying levels of bass, treble. etc. Not all music was recorded at the same output levels. If you have an android device, download jetAudio from google play. It is free but I did ended up paying for 2 plugins. 10 band equalizer (20 band for $3) and you can maximize any piece of music you play.
