A:AnswerYes the CD player is front loading. The cassette player loads on the side which is a little awkward and inconvenient but I got mine primarily for the record player because I have a few LP's I wanted to listen to. I'm not technical AT ALL but this system was very easy to hook up and it doesn't take up much space. You get what you pay for so don't expect high quality sound; it won't deliver that. But if you just want something small for a bedroom, office or garage that plays CD's, records and tapes, this system might work out for you. Am glad I got mine.

A:AnswerNo. Stereo is bare bones, but not bad for the $$. Sound is OK, but you won't be able to shake the walls. Turn table is not automatic. Will not return stylus to beginning. Also the arm is too light. Tape a penny to it or it will skip, if you even say the words, "dust speck."
But for the money, it's not bad. Very compact...perfect for an apartment.
A:AnswerYes and no. When the record is played to the end of the record, the platter will automatically stop
rotating. You must lift the tone arm and return it to the rest position.
