Yes. It has two buttons. Press the power button once to turn it on, it will stay on continuously, and you do not need to keep holding it. Press it again to turn it off. The other button is for switching suction modes. It starts in the low-suction mode by default, and pressing the button to switch it to the high-suction mode.
