Sorry this isn't an answer. it's more info for posterity sake. It's the year 2024 and I just bought JLab's 3rd Gen Air Sport. I understand the controls. I understand the governor on my phone. I used this pair on my phone and laptop. I checked all controls in the 'mixer' on my laptop. When everything in my environment is completely quiet, I enjoy my Jlabs. But it is UNACCEPTABLE how much volume JLab does not provide! I guess they are just a lame brand; the same problem time and time again, apparently across the board.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sometimes the device that you sync up to has a "governor" type feature that doesn't allow high volume. I understand that you may have used that same device with the old pair, but making sure it doesn't activate on these new pair may still be helpful? Also, make sure the volume on your device is up? The issue I spoke of previously works on cell phones, so this explanation is for other devices… Another reason for any device could be that your skin isn't making proper contact with the earbud? I've kinda been through these problems while working & my hands are filthy from working with steel. I contact the earbud with my wrist out of habit now, which makes me look funny out of work just walking through a department store! Hope these possible reasons are help to you!

Chances are, you need to create a better seal with the tips. We may have some other troubleshooting for you.
