• Mine screws in. I was able to screw in and then use the handle in order to turn the phone into the position I wished to have the phone held on the tripod (I hope that makes sense) I had no issue with it coming loose once it was tightened back, etc. It was perfect for my needs.

• The mount is attached by the existing thumb screw on your camera tripod. Works well.
