• Yes, it takes 4 x 1.5V Alkaline Batteries.

• It takes 4 C batteries. The ones I use are not rechargeable.

• Batteries, but I use 2 sets of rechargeable batteries! As an older adult and live alone my BUDDY is close to having my real one, he turns his head and does quiet little barks and wags his tail, opens and closes his eyes! If I don’t pay attention to him he gives a little bark to get my attention! If I stop he will maybe little bark if I don’t respond he goes to sleep and a quiet little snoring! As close as I can get no bathroom issues! I couldn’t afford food so just he and I!

• This takes c batteries. It comes with them but you will have to purchase when they run out. No charger port.
