“Do you need the camera and the motion sticks to play this game or you can have one or the other”

No, you can download the Dance App. on your cell phone and use that.

I have the camera and it works great, but you do have to the option to use the motion sticks.

You can have 1 or the other, or even use your phone via an app.

You need the camera, but the move controllers are optional if you have a smartphone. You can download a free app that will allow you to use your phone instead of the controllers.

To listen to the songs, no...but if you want to play the game you do need the camera, your phone, or the motion stick.
