Does this work in a car? Being 12 volt? null

Never tried it in a car, but I would say it should if using a 110 converter in the car.

Does not come with a car charger but I did try it. Just when driving phone moves so no point in placing it to charge as there is no grip between the phone and charger.

Yes this works in your car as you just need a USB port and the ability to keep your iPhone from losing contact with the charger.
