It does not have a built-in navigation system. If using android you have to mirror the image from Google maps onto the jvc display. If using iPhone 4s or older version, you can use one of the compatible Gps apps listed on the jvc website. If using a newer iPhone I believe you have to use the lightning cord and use the gps app already in your phone. Hope this helps!
