• The parking brake has to be on to see the video it's a safety feature so you can't watch the video & drive at the same time

• Thanks so much. The answer I received was what I needed to know and I am now able to view DVDs. I am checking the user's manual to see if that instruction is included. However, if possible it might be a good idea to include the fact that the parking brake has to be on and the vehicle in park. Anyway, I am very pleased with the online help which saved me a trip back to Best Buy to ask for instructions.
