A backup camera plugs into the back of this unit with a single RCA type plug. From my shopping around it appears that this is how most aftermarket backup cameras are attached. They usually have one other lead for power that is spliced into the reverse light wiring on the vehicle so that the camera powers on when the vehicle is put in reverse. If you are talking about a factory installed backup camera, I am not for sure if they are the same or if the wiring is different. It may depend on your specific application.

I bought a camera that attaches to the rear license plate and the best buy geek squad are going to install this plus the unit. If you go to the store, someone there in the car audio section will get you everything you need!
